“We are here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is.” - Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

The term “speakeasy” is rooted in the necessity of avoidance, particularly of the law but in broader strokes of any question of safety or stepping beyond the realms of social norms and queues.

That self-protection was necessary then, and has been for so many of us, but what if a different practice became available? What if we allowed ourselves to reclaim speaking easy as more than an act self-protection, but one of self-love and exploration? What if this practice became more than just a means of remaining alive, but one of living more fully with and as ourselves?
